Pak Group’s global research & development program is located at our Izmit corporate campus, just two hours outside of Istanbul, Turkey. It houses our Biotechnology R&D Center, where our European team conducts cutting edge research on unique yeast strain development for all industries of focus: bakery, animal feed, and bioethanol.
Back in North America, Bellarise® fine tunes the yeasts developed for baking applications and customizes them for use by North American bakeries, while developing dough conditioners and other baking solutions that could be formulated to support any application.
From Eastern Europe to the American West Coast, our skilled teams and state-of-the-art facilities give us the ability to efficiently isolate and create the unique compounds utilized in our yeasts and line of bespoke dough conditioners and bread improvers.

Our Global Research & Development Program is located on our Izmit corporate campus, just two hours outside of Istanbul, Turkey. Here, in our Biotechnology R&D Center we perform all yeast strain development for our industries of focus: bakery, animal feed, and bioethanol. At our lab in Los Angeles, the Bellarise® team focuses specifically on servicing North American bakeries. This is where we develop and test the yeast, dough conditioners, and baking ingredients that commercial bakeries in Canada, Mexico, and the United States need to both meet and create the demand that is unique to each market.
DISTRIBUTION
We operate distribution centers that service customers all across the United States. From these facilities we are able to provide quick and timely delivery of all orders.
We strive to always have every product we offer in stock, in finished form, at any time for shipment to our customers within 24 hours of order receipt. By continually replenishing our inventory at our national warehouses, our customers can rest assured that their order will be filled quickly and delivered on time.
MANUFACTURING SITES
The Pak Group operates four highly efficient production campuses throughout Eastern Europe. We have invested heavily into these production centers to make them the most automated and efficient yeast and bakery ingredient production facilities in the world – servicing over 5,000 customers in 105 different countries worldwide. Our sites are BRC Global Standard Certified under the GFSI (Global Food Safety Initiative) Certification Program, as well as Kosher and Halal certified, assuring our customers they will receive the highest quality ingredients produced under the most stringent manufacturing standards.

Use Bellarise® Instant Dry Yeast the same way you would use other “instant dry,” “rapid rise,” “fast rising,” “highly active,” or “fast acting” yeast. Bellarise® has been producing top-quality yeast for over 40 years.
The package is meant to feel solid, like a “brick,” since the granules of Bellarise® Instant Dry Yeast are packaged in a vacuum-sealed foil bag.

Bellarise® Instant Dry Yeast should be at room temperature before using. When you are ready to bake, take out only the amount of yeast needed for your recipe and put the remaining yeast back into frozen storage.
Yes, dry yeast from an open bag can be stored in an airtight container and kept frozen. On the other hand, unopened bags ought to be kept in a cool dry place, and not frozen.
Anytime instant dry yeast is stored in the freezer it is important to only measure out the amount needed and only allow this amount to sit out until it has reached ambient temperature.
It is safe to consume directly, though not recommended, as its primary purpose is for baking.

Active dry yeast is an older technology, and the yeast particles are larger, thereby making the hydration process necessary. Instant dry yeast is a technology developed in the 80s, and due to its smaller particle size, does not need to be mixed in water prior to adding to dry ingredients.
Bellarise® Instant Dry Yeast and rapid rise yeast perform the same function.
Any dry yeast that states, ‘fast rising’, ‘highly active’, or ‘fast acting’ is an instant yeast. Instant yeast was developed to be added directly to the dry ingredients.
Sorbitan monostearate is an emulsifier. This material coats yeast cells and protects the cells from damage by oxygen and assists in the rehydration of the yeast.
Sorbitan monostearate is a mixture of partial stearic and palmitic acid esters of sorbitol and its mono- and dianhydrides. Sourced from plants, allergens are typically part of the protein structure; however, the process used to produce sorbitol eliminates the plant protein.
Sorbitan monostearate is not considered an allergen. It is listed in the FDA GRAS (Generally Recognized As Safe) list of ingredients for use in food products. Sorbitan monostearate is Kosher.
None of our consumer yeast products contain any peanuts or tree nuts or any other products derived from these sources. All of our consumer yeast products are produced in a dedicated plant where there is no source of peanuts, tree nuts or any other products derived from these sources present, so there is no risk of cross contamination.
